Waspie Corset making Workshop

 

Come and learn how to make your very own corset at a truly stunning rural retreat. Charlotte, who makes handmade corsets for bridal or historical ware, will guide you as your wonderful creation takes shape over the weekend. You will make your own Waspie underbust corset based on an early Victorian pattern, which can be worn as under or outerwear. this two day course is a fantastic introduction to corsetry techniques and materials, including fitting busks and creating boning channels.

 

The The price includes all the materials, tuition and a delicious two course lunch in the farmhouse on both days. You will require a domestic sewing machine in good working order or sewing machines can be hired for an additional fee.

 

Ability: this course is aimed at sewers who have made basic clothing garments in the past, who feel confident with a machine but would like to hone and develop their skills.

 

Course Duration: two days

All course bookings require a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the cost of the course. The rest of the cost to be paid two weeks before the workshop. Some workshops are booked direct with the tutors and these are indicated.
