Willow Weaving Weekend (2)
Why not come along to our Willow Weaving Workshops. Make a framed basket in a day on Saturday 30th and make some plant supports on Sunday 31st March from 9:30-4:30pm. Come to one or both workshops!
Both days are suitable for beginners.
On Saturday 30th - Sue and Richard Kerwood will teach you how to make a framed basket in a day. They will take you through each step with a demonstration first before you have a go. It will not be long before you are hooked and want to take your new-found skill a step further by ordering a supply of willow from the Kerwood's to make more baskets at home.
On Sunday 31st - You will learn how to weave willow into plant supports with step by step instructions from the tutors. They say it is easier than it looks and you could go home with one or five 4ft wigwam plant supports for sweetpeas and shrubby plants like peonies.
Tools are provided and materials, the home grown willow is brought up with the tutors from Exeter.
