Printing workshops 2012
Woodcut printing
A one day workshop with Margot Bell, a very well known local practising artist and tutor. This will be an opportunity to learn the art of woodcut printing in black and white using simple hand printing methods. You will be able to experiment with a variety of wood cutting techniques and types of paper to produce different results. If time permits there will be a chance to use colour for further effects. The end results will be stunning. All skills are welcome.
Equipment supplied. Materials will be an extra cost of £5 direct to the tutor on the day.

Creative textile printing
This one day workshop will be lovely and messy and you will need lots of space as you will be exploring different textile techniques such as stencil printing, mark making and hand painting. Layer colour and motifs to produce a finished piece or pieces to take home to frame or turn into cushions or wall hangings. Your tutor is Anne-Marie Cadman a local textile artist and part time artist in residence at Chenderit School.
The work Anne-Marie produces is characterised by a strong use of colour, a mixture of print making techniques and a love of layering to create bold complex structures, it will be fascinating to see how vibrant your pieces will be at the end of the day!
