Watercolour Workshop with Judy Davies

 

Judy Davies is back by popular demand for a watercolour day. On this day you can really get to grips with wet'n'wet and learn Judy's special touch with the paintbrush. With all the breathtaking panoramic views surrounding the studio you can fail to be inspired and go home with a great painting.

 

In her own words... "I am mainly a watercolour painter. I have painted for many years and I have exhibited widely over the years My inspiration comes from the countryside and areas around my home , flowers and holiday venues. I have been a teacher all my working life and I completed a Foundation Course with Trevor Waugh in 2003. Watercolours are an ideal medium for a wealth of styles and methods for every subject. Translucent washes and luminous colours can perfectly capture the versatility of the medium. Acrylics paints are also water-based and can be used for many effects, they are less transparent and are especially exciting in Mixed-media paintings. "

 

Very suitable for beginners as well as the experienced. the day starts with coffee / tea at 10am and ends with homemade cake for tea at 4pm. There will be an hour's break where you will have a delicious two course lunch at the farmhouse.

 

There will be a chance to see some of Judy's work as she is one of the tutors exhibiting at Cool Contours during Oxfordshire art weeks 5th - 13th May 2012.

All course bookings require a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the cost of the course. The rest of the cost to be paid two weeks before the workshop. Some workshops are booked direct with the tutors and these are indicated.
